Era Terry, PT, DPT (she/her)

Era Terry, PT, DPTEra began her education at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science. While pursuing her educational interests, Era both performed as a professional ballet dancer and instructor with Chattanooga Ballet. In 2014, she moved to New York City to attend Columbia University where she earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree and continued to combine her interests in both physical therapy and dance.

While studying at Columbia, Era had the opportunity to work with dancers from Hubbard Street Dance Chicago and Joffrey Ballet and has continued to treat dancers of all ages and backgrounds in the West Seattle community since moving here in 2017. She has maintained her connection to the dance community through teaching and choreographing in the West Seattle area.

In addition to treating dancers, Era enjoys seeing patients with all kinds of orthopedic conditions- from ankle sprains and low back pain to joint replacements and post-operative conditions. Whether it is a recent or chronic injury, Era loves to investigate faulty movement patterns, muscle imbalances, and postural impairments to get to the root of a patient’s pain and dysfunction.

Era’s goal as a physical therapist is to help all of her patients return to the activities they love through the use of individualized, comprehensive physical therapy plans that prioritize safe and functional movement patterns while utilizing manual therapy and exercise prescription to achieve patient goals.

In her free time, Era enjoys relaxing at Alki, hiking, reading, and exploring Seattle with her husband and pup.
